Hi.
The husky genes will not be denied.
Don’t fear, that picture was from April 22. The snow is long gone. There’s still ice on the lake, but the next few days of 70F temperatures should greatly help in that regard.
And, regardless of what the ice is doing now, we know we’ll be out there May long weekend, getting the 2025 fishing season underway. We’ll have the regular fare: world class food, world class fishing, and world class company. You know the drill.
Give it a few months, there’ll be freshly picked tomatoes on your plates in the dining room before long.
Kristin and I were consulting the reservations with Kathy the other day, doing the math to see how many people we can expect in the dining room when we open. “That’s steady,” we said to ourselves. “Not too crazy, not too slow. Steady is good.”
I agree that steady is good, especially when we’re onboarding new staff members [especially in the dining room], but also: I am an agent of chaos. I think we can do better than steady.
So, that being said, here are our openings in May and June.
